Horseback Riding: Available for Ages 10 and Above
Come explore 1200 acres of trails under saddle with us. Ponds, creeks and streams, wildlife, and incredible views await you. Enjoy a picnic away from all the hustle and bustle of daily life. Time will slow down while you will enjoy a memorable time.
Per Hour: $ 40.00
*Half Day: $115.00
*Full Day: $200.00
*Rates are per person and include an organic sack lunch and beverage
Please schedule all horseback activities at the time of making reservations.
Guests are required to sign a riding waiver and will escorted by a staff
member on all rides.
Learning to Love Horses
An introduction to horses is available for $15.00 that includes feeding, petting, and a short arena ride for children under 10.
Learn to Rope: Available for all Ages
Learn to rope like a real cowboy. Meet Menny, our foreman and horse trainer from Chihuahua, Mexico, in the back yard of the Butler-Cape House or in the corral for an authentic roping lesson. Practice roping on a dummy, and if you demonstrate the necessary skills, we’ll round up a calf for you.
Roping: $20.00 per Person per Hour
Fishing
Fish the old fashioned way with a cane pole and live bait. Guests at 74 Ranch can fish the day away at Parker Pond located a short distance from the main house. We will provide the bait and poles.
Fishing: $10.00 per Person
Don’t want to fish? Then pick up a towel and head to the beach area to relax or just splash in the pond.
Evening Marshmallow Roast and Ghost Stories
Come hear true ghost stories from the Ranch while roasting marshmallows over an open fire pit. We’ll build your fire and supply you with an individual bag of marshmallows and skewers.
Marshmallow Roast: $7.00 per Person
Sunset Rendezvous for Two
Watch the horses and the cows go by as night falls. A table set with fresh flowers, cheese and crackers, chocolates, and chilled champagne. A perfect way to celebrate a special occasion. We do the work, you enjoy!
Sunset Rendezvous: $60.00 per Couple
Primitive Camping
Enjoy your own private island while listening to Big Scarecorn Creek tumbling over the rocks. Bring your own tent and camping supplies. We’ll provide you breakfast and a hot shower the next morning in the main house.
Camping: $20.00 per Person per Night
(Limit of 4 people in party)
Star Gazing
Stargazing is phenomenal at the Ranch. We have a unique viewfinder from HammacherSchlemmer that will instantly describe what you are seeing. The night sky sparkles with stars, and this is a fun and easy way to get you started on your exploration of the starry heavens. Perfect for a family, couple or solitary adventure.
Stargazing with Scope: $20.00 per Person
Rain? No Problem! We've Got You Covered
Our Saddle House is perfect for board games and card games (provided). We can give you an orientation on the differences in the saddles and tack. Or you can get a safety lesson on guns and use our indoor BB gun/pellet gun shooting range.
In the farmhouse we have a DVD player where you can watch Westerns and an assortment of movie genres.
